The Polish Parliament Sejm has established 2025 as the Year of Olga Boznańska to celebrate the 160th anniversary of her birth and the 85th anniversary of her death. She was one of the most important figures of the Polish artistic world at the turn of the 20th century. She was a prominent Polish painter of the Young Poland period. Her work included still life, interior studies and landscapes, but most of all portraits. Her work continues to inspire.

An exhibition about her life and works runs throughout 2025 at the Polish Heritage Trust Museum, 125 Elliot St, Howick, Auckland East. Open hours are Tue-Fri 10am-4pm and Sun 12 noon-5pm.
